The Boon Story
Boon Nappies was created out of a desire to create a fantastic nappy that is comfortable and best for baby, but affordable and most importantly, quick and easy for parents.
The nappy designer, Susie Cardno, was surprised at the amount of interest she got from other parents when they found out she used cloth nappies.
“Most people did not even seem to know that pocket nappies existed. They were always surprised at how funky my kid’s bottoms looked and were full of questions. I first started using them when my daughter Evelyn was a year old. She had a nasty nappy rash that had come and gone for months. In the end she was so irritated by disposable nappies that she had scratched her back until it bled. Once I started using fabric nappies I wished I had discovered them sooner. But I was always busy and found it took a bit of time hanging all of the inserts and covers out. After one particular load of nappies I counted 63 items on the line! Then I would sit down every night reassembling the inserts into the nappies. I thought there must be a faster way. So I designed Boon Nappies. They are all attached so even my husband can grab one off the line and use it. And they still dry super fast.”
Interest kept escalating in her nappies so it was natural for Boon Nappies to be formed. Boon Nappies is committed to carrying out ongoing development of its nappies to ensure that customers always have the best product possible. They remain focused on nappies.
Susie has the head office and production room in Paraparaumu, Kapiti where she lives with her two beautiful young children Oliver and Evelyn, her husband Andrew and their chocolate lab Duke. Like many fabric nappy users Susie has formed an addiction to cloth nappies.
“I often go to sleep dreaming of new designes and fabrics to use in nappies”.
You can rest assured that with Susie at the helm there will always be something new and progressive to be found at Boon Nappies.
